What is the difference between bioaccumulation and biomagnification?

Bioaccumulation happens in a single organism over the entire span of its life. It results in a higher concentration in older individuals.

Biomagnification on the other hand is a process in which chemical transfer from lower trophic levels to higher trophic levels within a food web. Biomagnification results in a higher concentration of apex predators.
