What is the importance of the Thousand Pillar Temple?

The temple represents the intricate Chalukyan style of temple architecture at its finest. The temple boasts 1000 exquisitely carved pillars. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Surya loaded with meticulously designed pillars, richly carved icons, and rock cut elephants that represent the incredible detailing of Kakatiya architecture.
