In which year the self respect marriages were legalized in India for the first time?

The first file that legalized self-respect marriages in India was signed in 1967 by CN Annadurai. He was also the founder of DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam). The file in 1968 became an Act by introduction of section 7A amendment to Hindu Marriages Act.
