Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa of Bahrain is the longest-serving prime minister in the world. In 1971, when Bahrain gained independence from Britain, Prince Khalifa was appointed as prime minister. He was in power until his death in November 2020. He was in power for almost half a century.
