Why did the Mundas rise up in revolt?

The Mundas rose up in revolt in order to fight British attempts to control forests. The situation was made worse when migrants from other states were invited to work in the land of the Mundas. This deprived the tribals of their rights. In addition apathy from the local landlords and the British became further causes of the rebellion
