Why do birds migrate to Kolleru Lake?

Birds usually migrate to warmer places in order to rest and feed. Kolleru Lake in turn offers ideal conditions for migratory birds to rest and feed and some species of birds even stay back even when the migratory period is over.

Kolleru Lake is one of the Ramsar Sites located in India.
