What is the difference between horticulture and intensive agriculture?

In horticulture plants cultivated are both food crops and non-food crops like vegetables, trees, flowers, turf, shrubs, fruits and nuts on a small scale. Intensive farming mainly focuses on mass food production. In intensive agriculture, cultivation is done using labour and capital at a comparatively large scale. It is practised in areas with high population pressure focussing on productivity.
