Human-wildlife conflict is a problem as it affects both species. It may result in people killing animals in self-defence, or as pre-emptive or retaliatory killings, which can drive species to extinction. It may also cause crop damage, animal deaths, loss of human life, injuries to people, injuries to wildlife, livestock depredation.
