Who was Jyotirao Phule?

Jyotirao Govindrao Phule was an social activist, thinker, anti-caste social reformer and writer from Maharashtra. 

Along with his wife Savitribai, he played an important role in the advancement of women’s education in the state. He also worked towards the eradication of untouchability and the caste system
