The medieval period in India saw a strong control of Islamic rulers in the country and brought with it an amalgamation of Indian and Islamic cultures that can to date be seen in monuments and art pieces constructed during that period. Great and prominent rulers governed and administered the country and the greatest contributions in the fields of art, culture, literature and architecture were made during this period.
