Suspended particulate matter (SPM) are finely divided solids or liquids that are dispersed through the air via a combustion process, industrial activities or natural processes.
Particulates are microscopic particles of solid or liquid matter suspended in the air. They are also known as atmospheric aerosol particles, atmospheric particulate matter.
