The West Bengal Board has reduced the syllabus by 30-35% for Class 12.
West bengal board Class 12 syllabus is prescribed by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, in short WBCHSE. The board was established during 1975 and strives for all-round development and promotion of higher secondary education in the state of West Bengal. The board attained autonomous status during the same year.
This autonomous body carries extensive research on designing syllabus. The subject matter experts from the jury will pick the topics that are necessary to compete with rapid developing world, considering psychological potential of students.
WBCHSE Class 12 Syllabus comprises two compulsory language subjects; one picked from group ‘A’ and one from group ‘B’. Three compulsory elective subjects; here students get liberty to pick any group out of the available combinations. One optional elective subject; to be chosen from the remaining options.
