Integral Formulas – Integration can be considered the reverse process of differentiation or called Inverse Differentiation. Integration is the process of finding a function with its derivative. ## List of Integral Formulas

The list of basic integral formulas are

• ∫ a dx = ax+ C
• ∫ xdx = ((xn+1)/(n+1))+C ; n≠1
• ∫ sin x dx = – cos x + C
• ∫ cos x dx = sin x + C
• ∫ sec2x dx = tan x + C
• ∫ csc2x dx = -cot x + C
• ∫ sec x (tan x) dx = sec x + C
• ∫ csc x ( cot x) dx = – csc x + C
• ∫ (1/x) dx = ln |x| + C
• ∫ edx = ex+ C
• ∫ adx = (ax/ln a) + C ; a>0,  a≠1

• $$\int \frac{1}{(a^2 – x^2)} dx = \frac{1}{2a}.log\left | \frac{(a + x)}{(a – x)} \right | + C$$
• $$\int \frac{1}{(x^2 + a^2)} dx = \frac{1}{a}tan^{-1}(\frac{x}{a}) + C$$
• $$\int \frac{1}{\sqrt{x^2 – a^2}} dx = log|x+ \sqrt{x^2 – a^2}|+ C$$
• $$\int \frac{1}{\sqrt{a^2 – x^2}} dx = sin^{-1}(\frac{x}{a})+ C$$
• $$\int \frac{1}{\sqrt{x^2 +a^2}} dx = log|x+ \sqrt{x^2 + a^2}|+ C$$
