One of the largest ever albatross and the largest flying bird is the Wandering albatross (Diomedea exulans). It also has the largest wingspan of any bird, measuring between 8 feet to over 11 feet. It is also one of the most far-ranging birds, known to cover more than 120,000 km in the span of just one year.
