The Class 1 Maths Olympiad Syllabus describes the fundamental ideas of Mathematics and assists students in gaining a better understanding of them. The IMO helps them improve their problem-solving and Mathematical reasoning skills. The IMO Syllabus includes four sections: Logical Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Everyday Mathematics, and Achievers.
Syllabus for IMO Class 1
The Olympiad examinations for Class 1 might be a fantastic skill enhancement program for the little one. Students in this class would have learned to play with numbers until they were in junior kindergarten. It is now that students will be gradually introduced to ideas such as subtraction, addition, shapes, number names, sizes, money, and a variety of other topics.
The IMO Syllabus is divided into four sections:
- Logical Reasoning section – The section is meant to help students improve their learning abilities, and feel comfortable approaching nonverbal and verbal reasoning on several topics.
- Mathematical Reasoning section – Students must learn several methods for strengthening mathematical reasoning by resolving various kinds of mathematical problems.
- Everyday Mathematics – The 3rd section focuses on aiding students to improve their problem-solving skills in relation to various mathematical concepts.
- Achiever section – Students are evaluated on their fundamental mathematical skills in the last section. Since the core concepts are discussed in this segment, students must be conversant with the topics in advance to handle various questions more effectively.
