InChO (Indian National Chemistry Olympiad)

InChO is an annual competition for high school students that allows them to show off their skills in their favourite subject, Chemistry. The yearly competition is organised by the Homi Bhabha Centre in collaboration with the Indian Association of Chemistry Teachers every year.

In the year 2020, during the pandemic’s onset, InChO has held keeping in mind all of Covid’s social restrictions and the exam was conducted with caution. They made the safety of the students their first concern at all times. They were also assertive enough in 2021 to continue the same path. We will examine the test pattern, curriculum, registration, and more in this post regarding InCHO 2022.

The names of students who advance to the next stage, as well as their scores and performance cards, are released. Candidates must verify their results on the HBCSE’s official website to find out the status of their InChO.

The result for the year 2021 was announced in March. The dates for the next year, 2022, have not yet been confirmed; they will be released soon and officially.

Frequently Asked Questions on InChO 2022 – Indian National Chemistry Olympiad

What is the InChO curriculum?

The InChO Syllabus for 2022 is divided into four sections. Here are some of them:
Organic Chemistry
Inorganic chemistry
Biochemistry
Experimental Chemistry

What are the advantages of this exam for students?

Students who are interested in chemistry would profit much from this Olympiad. This Olympiad is a fantastic opportunity for students to share their thoughts and expertise in the subject of chemistry, and they may also demonstrate their understanding on this platform. Through this exam, rankers are rated and internationally recognised. By taking the InChO test, students build confidence in their ability to take the ICHO exam.

What should students do to get ready for InCho?

Students taking InCho must have a strong understanding of chemistry. They need to be adept in secondary chemistry, and should have a good understanding of the fundamentals. As a result, it is advised that students review the concepts covered in Chemistry in grades 7 through 10 before moving on to Chemistry in grades 11 and 12.

After passing InChO, what is the next step?

After passing InChO, a student moves on to the third level, OCSC, or Orientation and Selection Camp in Chemistry. The OCSC test is held every year between April and June, although it has been postponed this year.
