The National Cyber Olympiad is a competitive exam for pupils in grades 1 to 10. The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is in charge of the competition. It is one of the most well-known olympiad evaluations that emphasises computing and thinking skills, similar to other olympiad exams. Students studying in grades from 1 to 10 are eligible to compete in the exam. The exam’s goal is to assist students to improve their mental abilities, logical thinking skills, and analytical reasoning abilities. There is only one level of examination in the National Cyber Olympiad. The NCO Exam is normally held in December or January.

Highlights of the Exam
The National Cyber Olympiad is a cyber security competition open to students of all grades. The exam’s major goal is to promote young people’s understanding of internet security and computer abilities, as well as to give students a platform to gain confidence and upgrade their skills by teaching them more about computers and information technology. Students of varying ages are given the exam based on their classes. A few of the examination’s goals are listed below.

- Help improve their computer abilities and knowledge starting in primary school.
- Students will be prepared for the technological abilities required in today’s digital environment.
Exam Pattern
The NCO test is broken down into three sections.
- For students in grades 1 to 5, this part contains questions related to patterns, series, and classifications. For students in grades 6 through 10, Section I covers both verbal and nonverbal thinking difficulties.
- Questions about computers, information technology, and technological achievements are found in Section II.
- High-order thinking problems make up Section III. Every grade has the same topic, but the level of difficulty varies and continues to increase.
A 60-minute test with 35 objective-type questions for grades 1 to 4 and 50 objective-type questions for grades 5 to 10 is included in the question paper.

The SOF NCO Olympiad follows the curricula of major educational boards including CBSE, ICSE, State Board, and others. The curriculum is based on these boards as well as the typical thinking capacity of kids in that age range. The core subject of the exam is logical reasoning and mathematical ability, both of which are required in computer technology.
