CREST English Olympiad Syllabus

The CREST Olympiad is one of the most well-known online olympiad organisations. The organisation seeks to examine students’ practical knowledge and assist them in applying what they’ve learnt in many areas while also developing their conceptual understanding so that they may confidently face any competitive exam. The CREST English Olympiad is held for children in grades 1 to 10 and Prep/KG classes. Prep/KG receives 30 out of a possible 30 points. Classes 1 to 4 receive 45 points, while Classes 5 to 10 receive 60 points.

CEO Exam Syllabus

The syllabus of CREST English Olympiad is based on CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and other state board syllabi. The degree of difficulty varies depending on the class. The CEO syllabus includes themes like spelling, jumbled letters, the odd one out, and more for elementary grades. Topics covered in higher grades include nouns, pronouns, verbs & phrasal verbs, information retrieval, voices & narrations, and so on.

CEO Class Prep/KG Syllabus

Section 1:

  • Letters (Aa – Zz) (capital & small letters, after/before/in-between/missing letters, and objects/cartoon characters starting with letters)
  • Ford formation (up to 4-letter words, rhyming words, vowels, and consonants)
  • Strokes (lines and curves)
