Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) released the notification for the posts of Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2 examination on September 28, 2021. The GPSC released the results of Class 1 and Class 2 preliminary examination 2021 in January 2022.

Scheme of the GPSC Class 1 and Class 2 Examination 2021-2022

GPSC examination for the post of Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-I, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-I and Class-II and Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-II is conducted in 2 phases namely, preliminary examination, main written examination and personality test or interview. How to download the preliminary exam answer key?

You can follow the steps given below to download the provisional and final answer key of the preliminary examination, 2021.

  1. Visit the official website of GPSC i.e. gpsc.gujarat.gov.in
  2. Click on the ‘Answer Key with Question Paper’ tab. A new page will appear.
  3. Select ‘Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2’ among the various options available on the page.
  4. A new tab comprising the PDF of the final/provisional answer key will open. You can download the PDF for future reference.

How to challenge the preliminary exam provisional answer key?

Candidates are given the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key released by the GPSC after the preliminary examination. Candidates should carefully follow the instructions laid down by the GPSC to submit objections. The procedure to challenge the provisional answer key is given below.

  • Visit the official website of GPSC ie. gpsc.gujarat.gov.in
  • Click on the ‘Online Objection Submission System’ link given on the homepage of the website.
  • A new page will appear. Fill in the required particulars, which include a candidate’s roll number, date of birth etc and login.
  • Candidates should give their suggestions as per the prescribed format (proforma) published on the website / online objection submission system. More information on the Online Objection Submission System and how to submit the objections for questions are given under the ‘Quick Links’ section of the homepage on the official website of the GPSC.

Points to Remember: Submit Objections Against the Preliminary Exam Provisional Answer Key

  1. It is imperative that the candidates submit their objections through the online mode only. Any other mode used by candidates to submit objections will not be entertained by the Commission.
  2. Candidates should submit their objections with reference to the Master Question Paper provided along with the provisional answer key published on the website. Select the question number and options given in the master question paper and submit your objections accordingly.
  3. Objection for each question should be provided on a separate sheet. Candidates should not submit objections for more than one question in a single sheet. If objections for more than one question are raised on a single sheet, then the Commission will not consider it.

GPSC Preliminary and Main Exam Cut-off Marks 2021-2022

The provisional answer key for the GPSC preliminary exam, 2021 was published on December 26, 2021. After examining the objections raised by the candidates, the expert committee’s recommendations were incorporated and the final answer key was released on January 20, 2022. The preliminary exam result was published in January, 2022. The Preliminary exam cut-off marks for various categories and number of total qualified candidates are given in the table below. The main written exam for the year 2021 is yet to be conducted.

Rechecking of the Main Examination Answer Sheet

The Commission has provided the candidates the option to get their main exam answer sheet rechecked after paying a specific amount as fee, which is mentioned on the official website of the GPSC.

Points to Remember

  • Candidates must apply along with the required information and with the fee within 30 days from the date of declaration of the main written exam results.
  • Candidates who want to access their marksheets of the Main written exam should apply along with the required fee to the Commission within the time duration mentioned on the official website of GPSC.
  • Any request or application submitted after the specified deadline will not be considered by the Commission.
