= (40+2) (40+2)

= 40(40 + 2) + 2(40 + 2)

= 402 + 40 x 2 + 2 x 40 + 22

= 1600 + 80 + 80 + 4

Explanation: The general form of Pythagorean triplets is 2m, m2-1, m2+1

Given, 2m = 8

So, m = 4

m2 – 1= 42-1 = 16-1 = 15
