Telangana Class 10 students to be promoted without SSC exams

In view of the risks involved in conducting exams during COVID – 19, the Telangana State has finally decided not to conduct the Telangana Board SSC exams but instead promote students based on their grades in the previous exams. Telangana board has decided to cancel the Class 10 exams and the students will now be graded as per internal assessments. So, students will now be promoted directly to Class 11.

The decision was taken by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao after he reviewed the situation at a high-level meeting on Monday. Nearly, 5,34,903 SSC students are in the state and on the government’s order, education department officials have directed schools to start preparing results and upload them on the official website of Telangana State Board of Secondary Education (TSBSE).

TSBSE Class 10 exams commenced on 19 March 2020, but had to be postponed due to coronavirus lockdown and has now been cancelled.
