ICAR AIEEA Subjects 2023
The ICAR subjects for AIEEA (UG), AIEEA (PG), AIEEA (PhD) tests are discussed below:
ICAR AIEEA (UG) Subjects
Each candidate has to attempt/opt/choose only three subjects(PCB/PCM/PCA/ABC)in the examination as per choice from the List of Subjects from the table given below. The same three subjects has to be given in the Online Application Form. The candidates must attempt only those subjects in the examination as per the choice given in the Application Form. Therefore, they must exercise the choice of subjects very carefully.
The Test of AIEEA (UG) 2021 is a single Test of 02:30 hours duration. A total of 150 (50 in each subject) questions will be asked in the exam.

ICAR AIEEA (PhD) Subjects
Doctoral Degree Programmes are offered by AUs in 73 Subjects. Based upon eligibility and compatibility with their subject areas at the post graduation level, the candidates should select one subject of specialisation for appearing in the Examination.
The Test of AICE-JRF/SRF(PhD) will have a single Paper of 2 hrs duration. The test would consist of three sections :-
- Section A – First 20 MCQs will be common to all the 73 specialized Subjects. The questions assess the level of candidate’s awareness about the environment and its application to the society. The questions are based on general knowledge in the domain of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Allied Sciences, etc. including current events and matters of everyday observation and experience.
- Section B – 50 MCQs will be from the Core Group (refer to the table given below) containing the specialized Subject opted by the candidate for pursuing Ph.D.
- Section C – 50 MCQs will be from one of the specialized Subjects (refer to the table below) in Master’s degree opted by the candidate for pursuing Ph.D.

What is ICAR centralised counselling?
Candidates who score zero or negative marks in the ICAR subjects are not allowed in the ICAR counselling. The counselling is in three parts, with a “mop-up round” if that is required.
