UP TET is a very popular test taken by a lot of aspirants. UPTET stands for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. Papers in UP TET – Paper 1 & 2

Two papers come under UPTET. Therefore, the UP TET result for these papers is released together.

  • Paper 1: This paper is for the candidates who want to teach students studying in class first to class fifth
  • Paper 2: This paper is for candidates who wish to teach students studying in class sixth to class tenth

The UP TET Exam Pattern

The UP TET follows a clear and easy-to-understand exam pattern. The question paper is multiple-choice based and has 150 questions in total. Each question has a weightage of 1 mark. Also, there is no negative marking involved in the UP TET exam. The time allotted to finish the test is 180 minutes. The subjects included in the test are child development, Mathematics, Language 1 and 2, Science, Social Studies, etc.

Uttar Pradesh TET 2023

UPTET 2023 dates are not released as of now. The last UP TET exam was conducted on 23rd January 2022. There were several shifts for the exam. Both paper one and paper two were conducted on the same date. The exam is a minimum requirement for anyone who wants to become a teacher in Uttar Pradesh. About 13.52 lakhs of candidates had enrolled for the primary level UP TET test, and about 8.93 lakhs of candidates had applied for the upper primary level UP TET test. The exam was conducted in approximately 4,365 centers.

The UP TET exam was conducted in two shifts. The morning shift was from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, and the afternoon shift was from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The first paper was relatively moderate as the sections on Language and Child Pedagogy were moderate. On the other hand, the Maths section was a little tricky.

The 2nd paper had questions that ranged from moderate to complex. The Child Pedagogy and the mathematics sections were quite challenging, but the language section had questions of moderate difficulty. The answer key for both of these tests will be released on the official website of UPBEB. You can use the answer key to calculate the marks you might score. This will give you a fair idea of how you will be performing in the examination. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will release the responses. Post the release of the answer key, and the objection form will be removed, which can be filled in case of any objections you might have concerning the answers released.

UP TET Result 2023

The expected date for the results for UP TET to come out is February 2024. The results are released after every phase of the exam. Therefore, once the results are declared, it is recommended for you to check the merit lists and the cut-off marks for the exam. The cut-off marks will decide your eligibility to proceed to the further rounds. The cut-off marks will be displayed on your scorecard.

You can compare your score to the minimum cut-off marks mentioned on your scorecard. The answer key of UP TET will be released around January 2024. The last date to fill out the objection form and challenge the answer is 1st February 2024. A window of 4 to 5 days is given to raise the objections effectively. The UP TET result that will be released on 25th February will decide if you are eligible to become a teacher in Uttar Pradesh or not. Once you qualify for the test, you will be eligible to become a teacher from this year itself. The certificate will have unlimited validity and can be used throughout your teaching journey. Previous Year UPTET Cut Off

Candidates who pass the UPTET 2023  exam will receive UPTET certificates from their respective district’s District Education and Training Institute. The candidate’s name, photograph, caste (category), photograph, and marks will be listed on this certificate. The UPTET certificate will be valid for five years from the issue date. Once the result is released, you will have to check the cut off marks to know if you have qualified for the test or not. The overall cut-off scores for UP TET 2023 are:

General 60%, i.e. 90 out of 150
ST/SC/OBC 55%, i.e. 82 out of 150

If you clear these overall cut-offs along with the sectional cut-off in your result, you will make it to the next round.
