Study the following tally marks frequency table and answer the questions given below:
(i) How many students score 10 marks?
(ii) How many students scored above 10?
(iii) How many total students appeared on the test?
Solution:
(i) Number of students scored 10 marks = 10
(ii) Number of students scored above 10 marks = 17
(iii) Total number of students who appeared for the test = 27

The following tally marks frequency table shows the daily wages of some workers:
Answer the following:
(i) How many workers work for below ₹ 400 daily wages?
(ii) How many workers work for above ₹ 400 daily wages?
Solution:
(i) Number of workers who work for daily wages below ₹ 400 = 16
(ii) Number of workers who work for daily wages above ₹ 400 = 20

A survey was conducted among a few people regarding their favourite beverages. The below tally marks table shows the data:
