Every year GSEB conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate examination in the month of March. The exam consists of subjects like Mathematics, Science & Technology, Social Science, English, Hindi, and Gujarati. The minimum marks needed for students to pass the class 10 exam under GSEB or Gujarat Secondary Education Board is at least 33 % marks in each subject.

Last year 7,75,013 students appeared for SSC Gujarat Board examination (Class X) which was held from 15th March 2017. The passing percentage increased to 92.72% in English-medium schools and 65.93 % in Gujarati-medium schools. The district of Surat registered the highest passing percentage i.e. 79.27%. Around 73.33 % female candidates passed the examination compared to 64.69 % of male candidates.

In the year 2018, the total number of students who appeared for the Gujarat SSC exam was 11,03,854 out of which only 5,68,192 have cleared it.

GSEB Result Analysis

The number of students appeared for the GSEB HSC Board 2018 is increased as compared to the number of students appeared last year. In 2018 the number of students scores A1 is 6,378 while in 2017 3,750 students scored more than 90%.
