In the form of the RRB JE Recruitment process, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) selects candidates for various technical posts for the Indian Railways. It is one of the most important exams conducted by RRB every year. The RRB JE Exam will be conducted for the following posts:

  • Junior Engineer
  • Junior Engineer (IT)
  • Depot Material Superintendent (DMS)
  • Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)

RRB JE Selection Process

The RRB JE Recruitment Process includes several stages. They also include a few stages which are specifically meant for specific posts. The stages of the selection process are as follows:

  • Preliminary Exam (Computer Based Test)
  • Main Exam (Computer Based Test)
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Fitness Test
  • Final Selection

RRB JE Eligibility

These are the following eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfil in order to become a part of the RRB JE Recruitment process:

  • Age Limit: The candidates must be at a minimum of 18 years of age and a maximum of 33 years as on January 1st 2019. However, age relaxation rules will be applied for the reserved categories.
  • Nationality: As per the RRB JE Eligibility Criteria regarding Nationality, a candidate must belong to the following categories:
  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with to permanently settle in India.

RRB JE Vacancy – Application Fees

*Note: Out of this fee of Rs 500 an amount of Rs 400 shall be refunded

duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.

  • The fee of Rs 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.
