Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the RRB JE exam to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer in Railways. RRB JE Exam notification is expected to release in the months of January 2023.

RRB JE Exam Pattern
RBI Assistant exam is conducted in the following stages
- CBT 1
- CBT 2
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Computer Based Test 1(CBT 1)
All the questions in the first stage CBT are objective in nature. The number of questions and marks for each subject/section is given in the table below

The time allotted for CBT 1 is 90 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th of marks per each wrong answer. The minimum passing percentage of marks for each category is given below

Computer Based Test 2(CBT 2)
Candidates who clear CBT 1 will be shortlisted for CBT 2. The questions in the CBT 2 are objective in nature. There shall be 5 sections in this stage containing questions on General Knowledge, General Science, Computer Applications, Basics of Environment and Technical Abilities. The number of questions and marks for each subject/section is given in the table below

The time allotted for CBT 2 is 120 minutes. Each question carries 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer. Students shall be provided with a virtual calculator on their screen in case of the Stage 2 exam. The minimum passing percentage of marks for each category for CBT 2 is given below
