WBPSC Application Form

Lot of thought and consideration goes into play when filling the application form for the WBCS exam (West Bengal Civil Services). For starters candidates have to carefully choose between the different Groups (A,B,C,D) as well as other personal details.

Any last minute change or discrepancy in the application form will not be accepted by the authorities at the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC)

Keeping the above fact in mind, this article will give careful instructions on how to fill the application form for the WBPSC Exam.

Steps to fill the WBCS Application form

Step 1: Go to WBPSC Official Website [ http://pscwbapplication.in/ ]

Step 2: Click on “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” button given at the right side of the home page

Step 3: Once the link is clicked upon the candidate will be redirected to an Enrollment Form. They have to fill the fields marked with “Red coloured bullets” and they should not be left blank. Once all the fields are filled up, the applicants are required to click on the “REGISTER” button at the bottom of the web page to complete the enrollment process.

*Noted: This step is crucial as all the information entered will be final and cannot be changed once the “REGISTER” button is clicked. Only the email id can be changed after this

Step 4: On successful submission of the details, the applicant will receive an OTP code at the registered mobile number. The OTP code needs to be entered and the applicant has to click the “Validate” button in order to validate the OTP. On successful entry of the OTP the applicant can now access the portal with the new username and password

Step 5: After signing in with the new username and password. The applicants will be redirected to the dashboard. The form will appear on the screen, once the applicant clicks on “Application Details”. Some fields would be pre-filled with the registration details. Other fields are required to be filled by the candidate.

Step 6: Once all the details are filled click on the Upload photo and signature’ button on the left side panel

Step 7: Upload the photos and signature after resizing them to the required dimensions

*Note: The scanned passport photo should be within 3.5 x 4.5 cm in size, scanning resolution should be within 100 dpi & file size should be less than 100 KB.

Step 8: Click ‘Upload Photo’ and ‘Upload Signature’ to complete the process and then click on ‘Save & Continue’.

Step 9: Following the upload of the photos, the applicant will be directed to the “My Applications” section. Here they are required to select the relevant post against the examination and click ‘Continue’ to further fill the form.

*Note: Do remember to check whether the eligibility criteria is fulfilled before applying

Step 10: After filling up the application , click the ‘Save & Continue’ Button given at the bottom. After that you will be redirected to the new form, here you add your preferable examination centre, click on the ‘Save & Continue’ button.

Step 11: Once all the details are filled, click on the ‘I agree that all the information

provided here, are correct according to my knowledge’ and ‘I have informed the Head of my Office or Department in writing that i am applying for the examination’ check boxes

• After that system will show you the Online and Offline Payment button to complete the payment
• The application fees can be paid via offline and online mode. One can pay online via Debit/Credit Card or through Net Banking. Offline Payment can be done with the help of printing the e-challan of Union Bank of India.

Do take a print of the e-receipt of fees application handy in case of any emergency.
