IRDA Exam Application Form for the Post of Assistant Manager 2023

Applications for the post of Assistant Manager should be filled in online only. Before applying for the IRDA examination, candidates should go through the eligibility criteria for each specialisation mentioned in the official notification. The tentative schedule for the IRDA exam for the post of Assistant Manager is given in the table below.

How to apply for the IRDA Assistant Manager Examination 2023?

Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the IRDA Assistant Manager exam.

  1. Visit the official website of IRDAI i.e. www.irdai.gov.in
  2. Click on ‘Employment’ tab on the homepage.and then click on the option “Recruitment for the post of Assistant Manager”.
  3. Click on the ‘New registration’ link,  fill in your basic details and register your application.
  4. A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system. Candidates should note down this number and password for future reference. An email containing the same will also be sent to the registered email address of the candidate. 
  5. Candidates can reopen the saved data using provisional registration number and password and edit their basic information if required. Once the basic information is saved, it cannot be edited.
  6. Candidates should use the  the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to modify and verify  their details in the online application form 
  7. Candidates should upload their scanned photograph and signature. They should ensure that they adhere to the requirements given in the official notification with regard to the scanned photograph and signature
  8. Candidates should fill in all the required details and then check  the information carefully by clicking on ‘Preview’ before “FINAL SUBMIT”. 
  9. After previewing, click on the ‘final submit’ button. Candidates will not be allowed to make any further changes. 
  10. Click on the ‘Payment’ tab and proceed to pay the application fee/intimation charges. Candidates should ensure that their application fee is successfully paid. Applications will be rejected if the application fee is not paid. 
  11. After paying the fee, click on the ‘Submit’ button. At this stage, registration of the candidate is provisional.

  • The application fee can be paid through different modes, namely:
    • Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro)
    •  Credit Cards
    •  Internet Banking
    •  IMPS
    •  Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets
  • After paying the examination fee, an e-receipt will be generated. Candidates should take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form. If the system does not generate an e-receipt, then it indicates failure of payment. In case of failure of payment, candidates should  login again and repeat the payment process.   • Candidates should fill in the correct spelling of their names, father’s or husband’s name in the online application form. The spelling should be same as it appears in the certificates/photo identity proof etc. If the name is spelt incorrectly, then it can lead to the disqualification of the candidate.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.
  • Persons who are in Government Service (except for casual or daily rated employees or those serving under the Public Enterprises) should submit an undertaking in the online application form that they have informed in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the IRDA Exam.
  • Candidates should have a valid personal Email ID
  • In case candidates face any problem while filling in the application form,they can visit cgrs.ibps.in and email their queries. Candidates should write ‘IRDAI – Recruitment of Assistant Manager (2017)’ in the subject of the email.
  • Candidates should fill in their online application forms the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation/HSC/Equivalent (XII pass) examination calculated to the nearest two decimals. If the University or Institute does not allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.), then the candidate can convert the aggregate grade point into percentage marks by using the criteria defined by the University or Institute. However, if the criteria is not defined by the University or Institute, then candidates can use the information given in the table below to convert Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks. Candidates, if called for Interview, have to provide a certificate issued by the appropriate authority stating the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate.

  • An online application form must be filled in completely and then submitted. Any application that is incomplete i.e. without a photograph and/or signature will not be considered as valid.
  • Candidates should apply for the post on the official website of IRDAI much before the last date for submission.
  • Information submitted by an applicant in their application is binding on them personally. Candidates can be prosecuted if they provide  false information to the IRDAI at any stage of the examination process.  
  • There will be no relaxation in terms of fee or qualification standards except for age relaxation.

Candidates can follow the given instructions to apply for the posts of Manager, Assistant & Deputy General Manager and General Manager.

  • Candidates who want to apply for the posts of Manager, Assistant & Deputy General Manager and General Manager should submit their applications  in a sealed envelope superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ——————————-”  and send it to the following address: The Executive Director (Gen), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, Survey No. 115/1, Financial District, Nanakramguda, Hyderabad- 500 032 
  • Candidates should submit the applications in the prescribed format, which is given in the IRDA notification.
  • Candidates should also enclose self-attested copies of certificates or documents in support of age, qualifications, caste and experience along with the application.
  • Only one application for any one post under any one skill stream should be submitted. If more than one application is sent, then IRDAI will consider only one application for any one post under any one skill stream as per the candidate’s suitability.
  • Candidates should submit copies of relevant certificates or documents to claim age relaxation in upper age limit.
  • Candidates should mention the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation. If a candidate’s University or Institute has allotted Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.), then the candidate can convert the aggregate grade point into percentage marks by using the criteria defined by the University or Institute. However, if the criteria is not defined by the University or Institute, then candidates can use the information given in the table below to convert Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks.
