BPSC CDPO Exam Pattern 2023

BPSC CDPO exam pattern consists of Prelims, Mains and Interviews. The BPSC CDPO Prelims is the first stage of the examination. The Preliminary test will be administered in an objective manner and will cover a total of 150 General Knowledge topics. The Mains examination will be held in a descriptive format. The interview is the last stage of the examination which will be for 120 marks.

BPSC CDPO Prelims Exam Pattern

The BPSC CDPO Preliminary Exam is the vital phase of the selection process for the CDPO position. There are a total of 150 multiple-choice questions for one mark each, on this objective test. The exam carries a total of 150 marks. Candidates must obtain or exceed the cut off marks established by the relevant authorities in order to advance to the next stage of the selection process. A candidate is automatically disqualified from the BPSC CDPO selection process if they do not get the minimum marks to pass this stage.

BPSC CDPO Mains Exam Pattern

The BPSC CDPO Mains examination will be subjective in nature. The exam consists of questions from three general subjects: General Hindi, General Studies I and General Studies II, and one optional subject: Home Science/ Labour & Social Welfare/ Psychology/ Sociology. 

Candidates who will pass the Prelims exam are eligible to write the Mains exam. The Mains exam will be assessed, with a final score of 1000 marks. A three-hour exam will be given for each subject. This question paper is more challenging compared to the Preliminary exam. The questions are moderate to challengingly in terms of difficulty level. The examination will be taken offline.

BPSC CDPO Interview

The interview is the last phase of recruitment. Following the interview and the release of the list of chosen candidates is the preparation of the final CDPO merit list. The interview round will only be open to candidates who have passed both the Preliminary and Mains exams. There will be 120 marks awarded for the interview. Candidates will be tested for their overall personality in this round and not just their bookish knowledge.

BPSC CDPO Syllabus

The BPSC CDPO Syllabus is divided into the Preliminary and Main exams. The General Knowledge paper is the only paper on the CDPO Prelims syllabus; there are a total of 4 papers in the Mains exam.
