How is the Cut-off calculated for the ESIC Exam?

Candidates who are applying for the ESIC UDC examination for 2022 have three stages which include Prelims, Main, and Computer Skills. The candidates have to qualify both the written papers in order to get selected for Phase III (Computer skills). Below are given the steps to calculate the marks secured.

Paper I (Prelims)- steps to calculate the marks 

  • This paper includes 100 questions and each question carries 2 marks.
  • Remember to deduct ¼ (0.5 marks) of the assigned marks for every wrong answer marked.
  • Now, note down the number of questions attempted correctly and the number of questions attempted incorrectly.
  • Then multiply 2 with every correct answer and 0.5 with the number of incorrect answers marked and then subtract both of them.
  • Then you will find the exact marks.

Paper-II (Main)- steps to calculate the marks

  • This paper includes 200 questions and each question carries 1 mark.
  • Remember to deduct ¼ (0.5 marks) of the assigned marks for every wrong answer marked.
  • Now, note down the number of questions attempted correctly and the number of questions attempted incorrectly.
  • Then multiply 0.5 with the number of incorrect answers marked and then subtract both of them.
  • Then you will find the exact marks.
