The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released the exam notifications for the various posts in the Delhi State Administration.
Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) is an exam conducting body under the departments of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT of Delhi). Its objective is to recruit suitable candidates for the Group “B” and Group “C” categories of posts, both Teaching and Non-teaching.
The eligibility criteria is based on three factors:
- Age Limit
- Educational Qualifications
The Nationality Criteria is the same: Every candidate must be an Indian citizen.
However the rest of the criteria varies from post to post in the DSSSB. This article will give details about the eligibility criteria for each post under the DSSSB Recruitment Exam. Do note that the details of the eligibility criteria are as per the DSSSB Notification released in 2021.
The 2023 notification for the DSSSB combined exams is yet to be released. In case of any changes, this article will be updated accordingly.

*Salient Points to be Noted about DSSSB Age Relaxation Criteria:
Any specific age relaxation provided in the Recruitment Rules of the posts of MCDs, NDMC and
- Autonomous Bodies of the Government of NCT of Delhi shall be applicable in respect of those particular posts.
- Recruitment Rules of the posts of MCDs, NDMC and Autonomous bodies of Government of NCT of Delhi; wherever it is mentioned that age relaxation shall be given as per Government of India instructions, the age relaxation given here-in-above shall be applicable.
- An Ex-serviceman who has already secured employment under the Central Government/ Govt. of NCT of Delhi or its autonomous/local bodies in Group C post will be permitted the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for ex-servicemen for securing another employment in higher grade or cadre in Group C Post.
- However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation.
- In case of a physically handicapped/Person with Disability, relaxation in age-limit shall be applicable irrespective of the fact whether the post is reserved or not, provided the post is identified as suitable for persons with disabilities.
- If a person with disability is entitled to age concession by virtue of being a Departmental employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a ‘person with disability’ or as a ‘Departmental employee’ whichever may be more beneficial to him/her
