The GATE Exam is just a month away? Don’t worry, explore our article on how to prepare for GATE in 1 month. While preparing for the GATE exam, the most common question that comes up in aspirants minds is when to start preparing for the exam. Well, it depends on the level of expertise in a student’s respective subjects. This article mainly discusses how to prepare for GATE in 1 month. The strategy to crack the GATE exam varies from student to student, but some points are really important during GATE preparation, especially when you have less time to prepare.

Candidates can follow these points to prepare for GATE in 1 month:

  • Your success in the GATE examination depends mainly on the preparations, but it is also essential to do proper research. Check GATE previous years’ question papers, etc.
  • Students can also go for a 1-month crash course, but you must put in all your efforts to succeed in the exam.
  • Students should start with the topics they are good at, and which they feel are easier to understand.
  • Candidates must know the weightage of each section in the paper, and go for the sections with higher weightage, provided the candidate is capable of understanding the concepts easily.
  • Revision is one of the most crucial aspects when it comes to examinations. Therefore, students should always devote time to revision after completing the GATE syllabus. It is always better to revise the syllabus you have already completed, rather than starting with a new topic.
  • Test series and mock tests are always helpful during the last hour of preparation.
  • Always analyse the mistakes you have made in the test series, and rectify them by working on them. It will improve your concepts and give you an idea about which question to approach first during the exam.
  • Use the virtual calculator during mock tests as you will not be allowed to carry any calculator. This will help you use the virtual calculator swiftly during the exam and save your time.
  • One must also prepare for the aptitude section because it is relatively easier and carries 15 marks, making a big difference in the total score. Sometimes, some students prefer to do it in the end (after finishing the rest of the sections). If you do so, do not forget about the General Aptitude section, we often tend to forget about it while getting involved in the questions of our subject.
  • Candidates should prepare short notes for revision, as there will be no time to go through the detailed notes.
  • Candidates can also use question banks and solutions to practise problems and improve their speed.
  • Solving at least 10 previous year papers could help a lot. You would be able to figure out the question patterns and type of questions.
  • Lastly, students should not panic. It is better to calm yourself and prepare wisely, as panicking might lose you a considerable amount of time.

If you follow these points and work hard, you can definitely crack the GATE exam. It is important that you always put in your best effort during the preparation, as there is always room for improvement.
