The candidates who are looking forward to getting through this year’s SBI Clerk Selection process should understand the importance of every stage in this selection process as every examination is an elimination round where only the shortlisted candidates are allowed to appear for the next stage of the selection procedure in the SBI Clerk Exams 2017.

The shortlisted candidates who have cleared the SBI Clerk Prelims examination are called for the SBI Clerk Main exams. Just like the Prelims Exam, this SBI Clerk Mains is also an objective type examination but the only difference is that it consists of 190 questions and the duration of this SBI Clerk Main Examination is 2 hours and 40 minutes.

SBI has announced around 11,000 vacancies in 2017 with a CTC of 2.5 lakhs annually. It is important for the candidate to understand the breakage of this examination as 90 questions are added in it and the duration is increased by 1 hours and 40 minutes. As 2 more sections (Computer Awareness and General Awareness) are added for SBI Clerk Main Examination, it is a clear indication that the level of SBI Clerk Mains would not be easy, so we recommend the candidates to prepare likewise.

Preparation For SBI Clerk Mains 2017

State Bank of India or SBI will announce their Mains exam date after the SBI Clerk Prelims result is declared, it is important for the candidates to focus on the Mains exam as only the shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the exam. The candidates should focus more on their preparation for the two topics that were added into the syllabus in the Mains exam.

Apart from completely focusing on those two sections, the candidates should prepare well for the other sections as well, as the questions for the Mains are more complex when compared to the Prelims exam. As you can see the SBI Clerk Main Exam is divided into 4 sections and the section of Reasoning Ability now includes Computer Awareness as well. Clearing every section in the SBI Clerk Main is mandatory to get shortlisted for the phase III of the recruitment procedure i.e. SBI Clerk Personal Interviews.
