According to APCC, coconut can reduce global poverty to a significant extent if used strategically.   • 5th September: One of the most important days in September in India since1962 is this date. It is celebrated as Teachers’ Day to commemorate the birthday of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India. Across the rest of the globe, this day is observed as the International Day of Charity. It reminds us of our role in eradicating poverty worldwide and attaining sustainable development goals.
  • 8th September: Literacy is undoubtedly a crucial component of our lives. Therefore, we celebrate 8th September as International Literacy Day. Besides, 8th September is observed as World Physical Therapy Day, when physical therapists generate awareness about their profession and its role in securing our health and rehabilitating us after major injuries and surgeries.
  • 10th September: As a step to raise awareness about the rising cases of suicide, 10th September is observed as World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD). The World Health Organization (WHO) co-sponsors the day, and the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) adopts measures to organize it.
