The Indian economy is a major subject in preparation for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Approximately 20-25 questions have been asked in Prelims during the previous 4-5 years. Similarly, in the Mains, roughly 100-110 marks were assigned to the Indian Economy in GS Paper III. The Economy section of the IAS exam is more current affairs orientated, and no text book can be guaranteed to be comprehensive. Ideally, one should have at least one book on Indian Economics as well as the most recent Economic Survey.
Due to the lack of one major source to prepare for Economics, it becomes challenging for the aspirants to revise the subject before the exam. It is to be noted that aspirants must have the UPSC Syllabus in hand when revising for the exam. This article presents a strategy to revise Economics before the exam in 10 days.
