VOCLET 2023 Exam Pattern

VOLCET 2023 Reservation

(i) 22% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates and 6% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates in Government & Government Sponsored Polytechnics. Non-resident candidates are not eligible for these reserved seats. If there is a shortage of eligible ST candidates, the vacant seats will be converted to the SC category after considering all merit-listed ST candidates.

(ii) Up to 5% of the total intake capacity in Government and Government Sponsored Polytechnics is reserved for Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates. If there is a shortage of eligible candidates in this category, the vacant seats will be converted to the General category after considering all merit-listed Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates.

(iii) Women’s Polytechnic, Kolkata, and Women’s Polytechnic, Chandannagar, are exclusively reserved for female candidates.

(iv) Ramakrishna Mission Shilpapitha, Belgharia, is exclusively for male candidates.

(v) Government and self-financed (Private) institutes have separate fee structures. Government Institutes charge Rs. 50/- per month as a tuition fee, while self-financed institutes charge Rs. 1,500/- per month as a tuition fee, as per the latest Government Order.

(vi) Admission through Management Quota is not applicable under the Lateral Entry Scheme.

VOCLET 2023 Application Form

The online application form for VOCLET-2023 was available on the official website of the Council (sctvesd.wb.gov.in), from 28th February 2023 to 10th April 2023. The portal was reopened for online application submission for VOCLET-2023 from 3rd May 2023 to 18th May 2023 on the Council’s websites, webscte.co.in and

Fee for Online Application

• The fee for the online application is Rs. 450/- (for valid Kanyashree enrollees: Rs. 225/-).
• The application fee should be paid online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Instructions for Filling up of Online Application Form

• The online application form must be filled up accurately, as subsequent requests for changes in the provided information will not be entertained.
• Candidates should take special care to avoid errors or omissions in the application form.
• The Council will not be held liable if a candidate is refused admission by the institutes even after getting an allotment due to incorrect submission of information.
• Any differences in the information furnished in the online application form and the information provided during counselling or after that will be treated as giving false information, leading to the cancellation of the candidature.
