The Union Public Commission has released the Civil Services Exam Notification 2017 on February 22, 2017 as scheduled. In their notification it is mentioned that the number of vacancies to be filled on the final result of the civil services examination is likely to be around 980 that includes 27 vacancies reserved for PH, LDCP, and B/LV and HI categories. According to the vacancies as may be fixed by the government, reservations will be made for candidates who belong to Schedule Castes (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Physically Disabled Categories. Candidates applying for the examination should make sure that they meet all the eligibility criteria for admission to the examination. Candidates’ admission to all the stages of the examination is entirely based on the criteria subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Candidates should apply oline for the examination by logging on to the commission’s official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS

The online Applications for Civil SErvices Exam 2017 can be filled up to 17th March, 2017 till 6:00 PM. The
e-Admission Certificate will be issued three weeks before the commencement of the examination.

PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS:

Candidates should note that there will be penalty (negative marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective Type Question Papers).

Candidates are advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the Examination Halls, as
safe-keeping of the same cannot be assured. Commission will not be responsible for any loss in
this regard.

Indian Forest Services (Preliminary Examination)

The Civil Services IAS Exam Online Application Form filling is made available on the official website from today and candidates who are preparing to appear for UPSC 2017 Prelims Exam can fill the online application form before the closing date which is on March 17, 2017.

Candidates will be allotted UPSC Examination Centres on the ‘first-apply-first allot’ basis, and once a particular centre is filled that particular examination centre will be frozen. Hence, candidates are advised to apply early in order to get their choice of examination centre.

Before filling the UPSC Online Application Form candidates should read the important instructions to fill the Online Application Form.

 

Last Date for Receipt of Applications

The UPSC Online Applications can be made available till 17th March, 2017 6:00 PM.

 

e-Admit Card for Civil Services Prelims Exam 2017

The e-Admit card for civil services Prelims exam 2017 will be issued three weeks before the commencement of the examination and the same will be made available on the commission’s official website (www.upsc.gov.in), which candidates can download.

 

UPSC will not send paper admit cards anymore by post.
