Common Services Centers
Common Services Centers (CSCs) are a single-point window model set up by the National eGovernance Plan of the Indian government to provide e-services to remote and rural areas of the country through a single physical location. This is particularly aimed at the rural sectors where computers and internet facilities are abysmal or nil. These centres allow multiple transactions in one location.
E-Governance propagation is a part of the UPA II’s (2009 – 2014) Common Minimum Programme/CMP. The CSC project, approved in the September of 2006 is a strategic part of the National eGovernance Plan. It is approved under the National eGovernance Plan’s Integrated Mission Mode Projects.
