IAS aspirants should note that Dogri literature for UPSC can potentially increase their chances of selection due to the low competition. Also, rural candidates have an advantage when opting for literature optionals as state education boards which have a higher reach in rural areas tend to have well-developed curricula for regional languages. Candidates should solve more questions from previous years’ UPSC question papers as well as from mock tests to be able to crack the UPSC Dogri exam. Dogri as a language has a well documented literary history which should be the focus of preparation.
