General English

General English is  one the easiest and most scoring section if it is fcussed in a proper way. There are many candidates who still do not clear this section taking this section lightly. English is such a subject which is required almost in all the competitive exam so it is very important to enhance  the vocabulary skills of the candidate. In general English, there are different sections such as reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, para- jumbles, cloze test and spotting the error. This section needs intense grammatical skills along with fluency for interview.

The following subtopics are the sections in the general English:

1)  Reading comprehension.

2)  Spotting error, Cloze Test & Para-jumbles.

All the subtopics need to be given equal efforts while preparation as the sectional cutoff is an important aspect in the SBI PO exam along with the overall cutoff. The candidate must be well acquainted with the vocabulary and grammar section to answer confidently in the written examination so that they do not lose marking by guessing. There is a negative marking in this section where the candidate may lose one fourth of the marks for each wrong answer.
