The skeleton is composed of several neatly arranged bones that act as an internal structure. However, a newborn’s body is made up of 300 bones. As one gets older and more mature, these numbers reduce, and some bones start to fuse.
An average adult human body contains 206 bones, arranged in length from longest to smallest, all of which serve essential functions. They are made up of crucial bone cells, calcium, and connective tissues like osteoblasts, osteocytes, osteoclasts and bone lining cells.
