NEET Result 2018 – CBSE will declare NEET UG 2018 result on 5th of June 2018 for the examination conducted on 6th of May 2018. NEET 2018 Result will be announced only in the online mode. NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a medical entrance examination conducted for admissions to MBBS and BDS (Dental) courses offered by various private and government medical institutes in India. The students are required to provide their D.O.B and Roll Number to download the NEET result 2018. NEET UG 2018 result will display cutoff marks, total marks scored, percentile, AIR, marks scored in each subject (PCB), AIQ Rank (All India Quota), and category rank. The candidates qualifying the specified cutoff marks will be included in All India Merit List. Also, All India Quota list (AIQ) will be prepared for qualified candidates opted for admission under AIQ category. Every year approximately 1.5 million students appear for this exam for admission to around 1 Lakh MBBS and BDS seats across the country. The counselling process will commence soon after the declaration of NEET result 2018. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for 15% All India Quota seats and seats in Central and Deemed Universities and state counselling authorities will conduct counselling in their respective state based on the All India Rank provided in NEET 2018 Result.

NEET exam was conducted offline (pen and paper mode) on 6th of May 2018. NEET 2018 results will be declared tentatively one month after the entrance examination. The candidates can check their NEET UG Result 2018 online by following the below mentioned steps:

  2. NEET Result 2018

  3. Enter your Roll Number and D.O.B and click the Submit Button.
  4. NEET 2018 Result page will be displayed on your screen. The students are advised to download and print NEET Score Card for future references.

NEET UG 2018 Results – All India Quota Rank

All India Quota rank (AIQ) will be declared for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counseling for AIQ seats based on AIQ rank provided in NEET AIQ Rank letter. However, the state counseling authorities will conduct counseling based on NEET scores and All India Rank mentioned in NEET UG Result 2018. Except for AIIMS (All India Institute Of Medical Sciences) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), NEET scores declared in NEET 2018 result will be accepted for admission to all MBBS and BDS courses across the country.

NEET 2018 Result – Tie Breaking Criteria

While preparing NEET 2018 result, the all India rank of candidates securing equal marks is determined after considering the following factors:

Criteria 1: The Candidate scoring more marks in Biology will be given higher rank.

Criteria 2: If the tie still remains, the Candidate scoring more marks in Chemistry will be awarded higher rank.

Criteria 3: Further, the candidate with least number of wrong answers will be given higher rank.

Criteria 4: Finally, the age criteria will be applied and the candidate senior in age will be awarded higher rank in NEET UG result 2018.

NEET Result 2018 Marking Scheme

CBSE follows a specific set of marking scheme while calculating the result of NEET 2018. The students can also evaluate their expected NEET scores by following the given below marking scheme.

  • Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer. For Every Incorrect Answer or more than one answer being marked 1 mark will be deducted. However, there will be no negative marking for questions left unattempted.
