NEET 2021 exam is scheduled to be conducted soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The results for the same are announced a few weeks following the exam along with the release of the final script of answer keys, solutions and the cut-offs. NEET 2021 results will be announced only in the online mode, similar to how it was observed last year i.e., NEET results 2020.
NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a medical entrance examination, conducted for admissions to MBBS and BDS (Dental) courses offered by various private and government medical institutes in India. The students are required to provide their D.O.B and Roll Number to download the NEET result 2021. NEET UG 2021 result will display NEET cutoff marks, total marks scored, percentile, AIR, marks scored in each subject (PCB), AIQ Rank (All India Quota), and category rank. The candidates clearing the specified cutoff marks will be included in All India Merit List. Also, All India Quota list (AIQ) will be prepared for qualified candidates opted for admission under AIQ category.

Every year, approximately 1.5 million students appear for this exam for admissions to more than 1 Lakh MBBS and BDS seats across the country. The counselling process will commence soon after the declaration of NEET result 2021. The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) shall commence counselling through the online mode and hence this will require students to register online. Students who have cleared the cut-off and qualified for NEET 2021 with the mentioned percentile will be eligible for participating in NEET 2021 Counselling. The DGHS shall conduct NEET counselling for 15% of the seats from the gross intake which includes all the government colleges for All India Quota candidates except for colleges of J & K state.

How to Check NEET 2021 Results?
The candidates can check their NEET-UG Result 2021 online by following the below-mentioned steps:

- Visit NTA’s official website http://ntaneet.nic.in/
- Enter your Application Number and D.O.B/password and click the Submit Button. These are the same set of credentials that the candidate has entered at the time of registration for NEET 2021 exam.
- The browser takes the user to the next window where the results will be displayed
- Download and save your scorecard. Take a printout of the same for counselling and hence for admissions
NEET UG 2021 Results – All India Quota Rank
All India Quota rank (AIQ) will be declared for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling for AIQ seats based on AIQ rank provided in NEET AIQ Rank letter. Admissions under the State Quota seats and 15% All India Quota seats are rendered governing to the rank obtained in NEET 2021. Once the results are out, the Ministry of Health Services and Family Welfare, The Directorate General of Health Services, the Government of India will commence the NEET 2021 Counselling.

NEET 2021 Result – Tie-Breaking Criteria
While preparing NEET 2021 result, the all India rank of candidates securing equal marks is determined after considering the following factors:
Criteria 1: The Candidate scoring more marks in Biology will be given a higher rank.
Criteria 2: If the tie still remains, the Candidate scoring more marks in Chemistry will be awarded a higher rank.
Criteria 3: Further, the candidate with the least number of wrong answers will be given a higher rank.
Criteria 4: Finally, the age criteria will be applied and the candidate senior in age will be awarded a higher rank in NEET-UG result 2021.
NEET Result 2021 Marking Scheme
NTA shall follow a specific set of marking scheme blueprint while calculating the result of NEET 2021. The students can also evaluate their expected NEET scores by following the given below marking scheme.
- Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
- For every incorrect answer or more than one answer being marked, 1 mark will be deducted.
- However, there will be no negative marking for questions left unattempted.
