Frequently Asked Questions on NEET Weightage

Q1

Do chapters of class 12 have more weightage than class 11?

NEET includes the syllabus of both class 11 and 12. Altogether, syllabi of both classes carry equal weightage. If previous years’ trends are observed, one or more extra questions would have appeared from class 11 or 12, hence one cannot precisely say which year’s syllabus carries more weightage. Candidates are suggested to equally concentrate on the overall syllabus as questions can appear from any corner of the syllabus specified.
Q2

How to know which chapter carries more marks?

One can predict the weightage by simply following the NEET previous years’ trends. Skim through and analyze question papers from the past years. Carefully go through and mark questions that have appeared for each topic/chapters over the years. Take an average to predict the weightage.
