As per the HRD minister, Prakash Javadekar, both Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted twice in the computer-based offline test. The exams will be computer-based where students will mark their responses on already downloaded answer sheets. The decision to eradicate the online mode of exam from the year 2019 onwards came after noticing the week internet connectivity in several areas. The first phase of the exam with be conducted by National Testing Agency in the month of January followed by the second phase in April.
Changes In JEE
Every year a total of 2.4 million students appear for NEET and JEE exams. Previously NEET, JEE, and NET exams were conducted by CBSE. However, from the year 2019 onwards, NTA will conduct all these tests which were earlier organised by the CBSE. Also, there are possibilities that the test will be organized in a manner that every student will have different question paper in both JEE and NEET.
