JEE 2019 or Joint Entrance Examination is a national level engineering entrance examination conducted at the undergraduate level for granting admission to various BE or B.Tech courses offered by 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, and several GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes). IIT JEE 2019 Mains
It is the first phase of JEE Exam 2019. The examination will be conducted twice by NTA, initially, in January and later in April 2019. The students are given admissions in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs based on the marks scored in this examination. Last year around 1.13 million candidates appeared for this examination. The online application form for the first attempt will be available from September 1st to 30th, 2018. The exam will be conducted from January 6th to 20th followed by results declaration in February.

IIT JEE 2019 Advanced
The top 2.24 lakh candidates qualifying phase 1 will be eligible for Advanced. Apart from IITs, several other prestigious institutes like IIPE, IISC, IISER, IIST, and RGIPT offered admission based on marks scored in this exam. IIT Roorkee will conduct JEE Advanced in the online mode of examination in third week of May 2019.
Difference Between JEE Mains and Advanced
Occupying a seat in top engineering institutes like IITs, NITs is probably the first step towards a solid engineering career. Although both Mains and Advanced are the gateways to such premier Institutes, there are few marked differences between both of them.

Exam Pattern of IIT JEE 2019 Advanced
The examination is conducted in 2 parts, namely, Paper 1 and Paper 2. There are three sections in each paper. All the three sections have 16 questions from each Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions are objective type, comprehension type, match type, and numerical type in nature. Section 1 of paper 1 and paper 2 comprises of six multiple choice objective type questions. Every question has four options of which either one or multiple options are correct. Similarly, section 2 of paper 1 and paper 2 contains eight numerical value type questions. Section 3 of paper 1 comprises of two paragraphs with two questions each. In this section, out of given four options one option is correct. The section 3 of paper 2 contains two matching type questions. In this section, two matching lists are given with each having four options of which only one option corresponds to the correct matching.
