A candidate can give JEE Main exam six times over a period of three consecutive years. In a year, a candidate can appear for JEE Main twice in the months of January and April. If the candidate has passed 12th exam in 2021, 2022 then the candidate can appear in 2023 JEE Main. If the candidate is appearing for the class 12th board exam in 2023, then he/she can appear in both the sessions of JEE Main in 2023. As has been mentioned above the JEE Mains will be held two times a year, candidate has to register separately for January and April exam. So whatever shortcomings a candidate faced in the January can be overcome in the April exam. So a candidate can appear two times each year for consecutive three years. After qualifying JEE Mains with high score, the candidate will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced which will be conducted in online mode for Mathematics and Aptitude, and in offline mode for drawing to test sketching skills.
