CBSE Class 9 Maths Lab Manual 2023-24

CBSE Lab Manual Class 9 Maths creates mathematical awareness in students. It inculcates skill building, positive attitude and learning by performing experiments among students so that they get acquainted with various Mathematical concepts such as Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Statistics and Probability, etc. The CBSE Class 9 students will learn various concepts and verify many mathematical facts and properties using models, measurements and other activities by going through them. Here, we have provided complete details on the CBSE Class 9 Maths Laboratory Manual, including the laboratory’s activities, mathematical equipment and list of projects.

Maths is a compulsory subject at the secondary stage. Access to quality Mathematics education is the right of every child. Class 9 Maths CBSE practicals and activities engage students in using abstractions to establish relationships, see structures, reason out things and find the truth or falsity of statements. Therefore, the CBSE Board has introduced the Class 9 Maths practicals in the curriculum by providing access to laboratory manuals. The Maths Lab Manual will nurture students’ ability to explore and seek solutions to problems not only in academic areas but also in daily life.

  • Models for verifying the following identities:

(i) (a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2

(ii) (a – b)2 = a2 – 2ab + b2

(iii) a2 – b2 = (a – b) (a + b)

(iv) k (a + b + c) = ka+ kb + kc

(v) (a + b)3 = a3 + b3 + 3a2b + 3ab2

(vi) (a – b)3 = a3 – b3 – 3a2b + 3ab2

(vii) a3 + b3 = (a + b)3 – 3ab (a + b)

(viii) a3 – b3 = (a – b)3 + 3ab (a – b)
