CBSE Class 12 to give Chemistry term 2 exam on May 7th: Check Guidelines

Class 12 Chemistry exam is to be conducted on 7 May 2022, according to the schedule made by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The marks weightage for each and every unit is provided in the CBSE Class 12th Chemistry curriculum. The class 12th Syllabus remains as it is, with no removal or new changes, as announced by CBSE.

For both the terms: term 1 and 2, 50% of the curriculum is equally divided. The term 1 examination was divided as 35 marks for MCQ and 15 for practical whereas the term 2 is going to be 35 marks for descriptive and 15 for practical. The students must prepare themselves accordingly.

  1. Considering board examinations for Chemistry, NCERT books are considered to be the best for preparation. It offers a valid concept of all the units which will help excel for the exam.
  2. Going through the CBSE class 12 Syllabus and covering everything mentioned via an NCERT book is of utmost importance. All the NCERT problems in all the units that are coming in term 2 should be solved before and practiced on, before the exam.
  3. Reference books can be used, but using more than one reference book can cause confusion in various chapters.
  4. Try to avoid rote memorization and focus on understanding the concept.
  5. All the units should be given equal importance.
  6. Solve sample and previous question papers, it will help you be more articulate and complete the exam on time.

  3. Organic Chemistry has had repetitive questions throughout the years, so one must check old question papers.
