A plane is a flat, 2-dimensional surface having infinite dimension, but having zero thickness. Such that if any two points are taken on it, the line segment joining them lies completely on the surface. A plane in 3-dimensional space has the following equation
ax + by + cz + d = 0,
Where at least one of the values of a,b,c, must be a non-zero.
The three possible planes in 3-d coordinate system are
- xy plane, where the value of z coordinates is zero.
- y-z plane, where the value of x coordinate is zero.
- x-z plane, where the value of y coordinate is zero.
